Out To The Sea Quilt

As I mentioned in my previous post, that I like hopping from one project to another. One of the three project that interrupting the Shade of Purple Buzzsaw is Out To The Sea quilt I made for a birthday present. Using Sarah Jane's Out To The Sea collection and some Klona cotton solids, I FMQed the whole quilt. I always love Sarah Jane's fabrics, they are so cute and fun.

I doodled the little girl's name on the quilt. I admit it was a rather late completion because I had to fly to Indonesia and stayed there for more than a month. I had give away the quilt as present to the daughter of a family friend, but sadly no news what soever upon her reception. Well now, what can I say....I just hope she enjoys it...:-(

The Shade of Purple Buzzsaw

I finally finished my Chainsaw or Buzzsaw quilt. It takes so long to quilt it, because I have beed tempted by other projectS. Well not one or two, but at least four other projects. There are 3 additional patchwork projects and 1 sewing projects. The patchworks are all done and they are queuing to be quilted. But the sewing projects is rather left out. I guess I don't have much time todo them all. So much ideas so little capacity to do it! Siigh!

So here it s my finish Chainsaw quilt, that I learnt the method from Kimberley Einmo. I am trying not to feel guilty by using the quilting mode of my Janome MC 12000. Normally I would FMQ the whole quilt. But I realise that I haven't made use the best out of my machine, so I decided to explore and play around with the machine. I still did FMQ but not on the whole quilt as my machine helps me with its built in design.

I am actually quite happy with how it turns out.. :-)
